I lead research on corporate income and oil and gas taxation. My work combines public finance, econometrics, machine learning, and natural language processing.
I earned my PhD in Economics and MS in Statistics from the University of Illinois Chicago in 2025. I also hold an MA in Economics of Education from Columbia University and a BS in Business Economics and Trade from the University of Reading.
I grew up in Yangzhou, China. Outside economics, I pursue wildlife photography, with a particular interest in birds. Explore the Gallery for a selection of my photographs.
I joined the New Mexico Taxation and Revenue Department as a senior economist in 2025. My current work focuses on corporate income and oil and gas taxation.
In summer 2024, I worked in the International Monetary Fund’s Monetary and Capital Markets Department, helping develop a prototype financial inclusion policy database using large language models.
